On the decimated plains of a once thriving landscape, Hellfire Peninsula is home to creatures both biological and mechanical that can shake the very foundations of the world.
The malicious Burning Legion, a horde of dark demons bent on the damnation of the universe, is building an unholy army- one that will strip the flesh from your bones no matter which faction you hide behind.
The creatures roaming the parched plains of Hellfire are the stuff of nightmares, but even they take shelter when the ground quakes and the air fills with the sounds of a roaring mechanical beast.
The Fel Reaver is a giant mechanical construct created solely to destroy all those that get in its way. As is patrols the land, the Fel Reaver actively seeks to kill any player that gets within its aggro radius. Running from this beast isn’t easy, as the plains of Hellfire and filled with other creatures and NPCs that will stop you in your tracks. There’s nothing quite like getting the attention of the Fel Reaver, running for your life, only to be struck immobile by a Deranged Helboar.
The Fel Reaver is a level 70 elite mechanical creature that can be downed with a group of three appropriately geared players. This group should consist of a level 70 tank (to take the force of the Reavers blows, and to hold aggro off the healer and DPser), a level 70 healer (to keep the tank alive) and a level 70 DPSer (this can be any number of classes, but the preferred DPS is ranged. This keeps the DPS dealer at a safe distance.)
Believe it or not, this evil mechanical behemoth can be soloed, but it takes a higher level player or a very quick and clever lower level player that knows when to run, and when to let the mage NPCs near Thrallmar do all the damage.
To obtain the key to The Shattered Halls in Auchindoun, you will need to either kill the Fel Reaver or allow someone else to kill it then use its smoldering carcass to cast the key.
The Fel Reaver is a very large, very imposing monster that many WoW players despise. There isn’t a player in the world of WoW that hasn’t been killed or beaten on by this hideous thing. Never fear, if you’re killed you can always come back when you’re “bigger” and take your revenge. There’s nothing quite like downing the accursed Fel Reaver without breaking a sweat.
