Blizzard has officially announced that Wrath of the Lich King Classic will launch on September 26, 2022 at 3:00 PM PDT. This confirms previous rumors that the expansion would launch on that, after Blizzard themselves leaked it on their own site.
Blizzard has also announced that the WotLK Classic Pre-Patch will go live on August 30, 2022. In this announcement, Blizzard gave us a timeline for the upcoming game roadmap:
- August 30 – Pre-patch begins (Fresh Start realms will go live on this date).
- September 6-13 – Zombie Plague Event
- September 13-Launch – Scourge Invasion Event
- September 20-October 6 – Brewfest World Event
- September 26 – WotLK Classic Launch at 3:00 PM PDT.
- October 4-5 – Arena Season 5 begins.
- October 6 – Phase 1 WotLK Classic Raids (Naxx, EoE, and OS) become available at 3:00 PM PDT.
